Core Values
Philosophy on Education
SSCLC programs reflect best-practices in early childhood education, offering each child access to a superior education.
Curriculum and instruction which are meaningful, intentional, stimulating and relevant set the foundation for student engagement and success. Our balanced curriculum will integrate components of biblical teaching, early learning domains and skills development. Lessons will be student-centered, allowing each child to be immersed in daily learning experiences that are hands-on, creative and intentional in helping them to develop critical thinking skills and confidence as learners.
Learning experiences are child-directed and since we understand that learning is fluid and occurs at different rates for each child, curriculum is individualized and structured to suit the needs of a variety of learners within the classroom setting.
Our educational experience is designed to address the whole child using comprehensive, research-based and developmentally-appropriate practices. We believe teaching a child involves more than academic instruction; therefore, our curriculum is not only aimed at academic excellence, but founded on biblical teaching and focused on shaping Christian character along with building social and emotional competencies.
At SSCLC our teachers and staff employ best-practices and sound pedagogical knowledge to regularly monitor and evaluate each student’s level of development and provide them with opportunities to strive toward the next level of achievement academically, socially and spiritually in their walk with the Lord.
